University of Kansas

Founded in 1865, KU is a designated Carnegie comprehensive doctoral research university and one of only 34 public members of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU). The university enrolls more than 27,000 students and offers students and faculty opportunities to collaborate in its programs.  The School has a student population of about 900.

The University of Kansas is in Lawrence, a city with a population exceeding 95,000. The community is known for its support if the University, education, arts, and research and regularly appears in various “best town” listings. Lawrence is centrally located between the State of Kansas Capitol in Topeka and the major metropolitan community of Kansas City.
