Software Engineer

We’re looking for a bright & self-motivated software engineer to join us. You'll be a core team member working on architecture, creation, and maintenance of software, including Releaf App, the highest rated cannabis journal app in the App Store.

We also build solutions for top companies like Verizon, NASA, Victoria's Secret, and more. Automata Studios is a small team of enthusiastic makers, founded as a consultancy in 2006 by childhood friends Branden Hall and Keenan Keeling, built around the idea that making great things matters.

Our creative software solutions have earned us a large client list including small businesses and members the Fortune 500 alike. We need a dedicated and meticulous engineer that takes great pride in delivering only the highest quality work. The success of Releaf App is due to the high quality work we do. As part of our team, you must be a fluent coder with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. You also must possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Great communication with your fellow team members is essential.


  • Minimum 3 Years of experience required
  • BS in Computer Science (or equivalent natural talent) with a strong understanding of object oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Knowledge of the architecture of mobile platforms is a bonus.
  • Should have an eye for design, and an understanding of human/computer interaction.


  • ReactJS, Javascript & Other Related Frameworks (node.js, immutableJS, etc.)
  • CSS & Related frameworks (SASS, Less, etc.)
  • Other HTML 5 Technologies, including building responsive web applications


  • Build/CI Tools (webpack, brunch, gulp, etc.) Git Python/Django
