As the nation’s first public liberal arts institution founded for African-Americans, NCCU has provided premier education through comprehensive programming at the baccalaureate, masters, professional and doctoral levels for more than a century. NCCU is part of the 17-campus University of North Carolina (UNC) system, and located in Durham, North Carolina’s acclaimed Research Triangle area.


Nationally recognized programs at NCCU include the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Education, the Department of Nursing, the School of Library, and Information Sciences and the School of Law.


The Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance (VCAF) serves as the chief financial officer of the University and reports to the Chancellor. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the fiscal integrity of the institution, while engaging with campus stakeholders to meet the educational, social, economic and environmental challenges on local, state and national levels.


North Carolina Central University seeks a visionary and collaborative leader with the experience and insight to shape the future of the Division of Administration and Finance. In addition, the VCAF is responsible for oversight of the budgeting and forecasting function, finances and financial planning, capital projects and facilities planning, maintenance of the physical plant, real estate development, purchasing, procurement, and revenue generating entities.
