Clinical Assistant Professor

The Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor with a strong background in public health nutrition. The primary role for this position will be to teach nutrition courses related to nutritional assessment, community nutrition and research.

Specific responsibilities include directing the curriculum and instruction for HN 200 Assessment, 313 Introduction to Community Nutrition and HN 440 Research process, providing mentorship for community based supervised practice placements and serving on committees at the department, college and university level as assigned.

The successful candidate must have a PhD or equivalent in nutrition or related field plus 2-years’ experience in mentoring and educating undergraduate and graduate nutrition students. Preferred qualifications include a Registered Dietitian credential.
