Assistant Director for Communications & Marketing Initiatives

["Work to expand brand awareness and develop an overall marketing plan the compliments both the university and the divisional marketing programs while also telling Campus Living’s story, Work as a resource for internal departmental units on marking initiatives to ensure consistent messaging and imagery is portrayed in all print, medial and communication materials. In addition, assist staff with developing strategies for enhancing their messaging. Promote and advocate for UB Campus Living both division-wide and university-wide through representation on internal communication/PR/marketing committees. Provide leadership on the continual evaluation of UB Campus Living brand awareness using best practices in the industry. Develop and manage a budget to implement the assessment, marketing and branding goals of the department.", "Oversee the writing, editing and production of all widely distributed communications related to occupancy management, facilities programs, residential programming and recruitment. Serve in an advisory role for secondary marketing/communication vehicles. Utilizing both internal and external resources, assist with the writing, editing and production of the department’s public content: including advertisements, print materials, web and social media, brochures, flyers, direct mail, rate sheets, policies, emails, forms, and newsletters. Research and develop resident success stories and testimonials to promote on-campus living. Unless otherwise specified, this position serves as the primary point of contact for all media inquiries related to Campus Living", "Define social media strategy that highlights the goals of Campus Living while maintaining the focus and brand identity of the university and the division as a whole. Following the guidance of divisional standards, manage departmental social media channels, maintain content and monitor commentary on approved social media platforms.", "Manage web communications for UB Campus Living through the utilization of the web CMS system. This includes training staff and acting as the department’s troubleshooter. Develop new and maintain existing content on Campus Living web pages. Work cooperatively with divisional staff and the department’s IT staff to add and revise web features to ensure it continually meets the needs of audiences. Work with Campus Living functional units to ensure that their web content is consistent with the overall strategic mission of the department.", "While serving as a liaison for Campus Living, provide support to divisional marketing and communication projects/initiatives. Participate in monthly divisional marketing forums, as well as other relevant divisional meetings and committees.", "Work with the university’s enrollment management team to communicate housing options to incoming students, including participating in Open House and recruitment events.
