Administrative Assistant 1

The Administrative Assistant 1 will work within the Admissions Unit and serve as the primary support for the Enrollment Management Supervisor and will also be the principal resource to potential students and the Admissions Staff. In this position, you will:
• Provide administrative and clerical support and operations management for the Admissions Office
• Answer telephone and give information to callers, takes messages, and transfers calls to appropriate individuals.
• Greet and assist potential students
• Manage documents and information
• Provide new student support and compliance management
• Manage unit calendars
• Manage the unit budget, office supplies and marketing resources
• Initiate requested purchases
• Execute all program responsibilities, administrative tasks, and critical tasks autonomously, efficiently and in a timely fashion
The incumbent is also expected to independently communicate with and direct students and applicants to the appropriate information, forms, tax documents, as well as to people and outside agencies on behalf of the EOC Admissions Unit. As the first line of communication for the entire Admissions Unit, the incumbent is responsible for responding independently to student questions and concerns that are generally viewed to be more complex and sensitive in nature.
