Postdoctoral Research Associate

Buffalo, New York ~ May 04, 2020

The Graduate School of Education (GSE) at the University at Buffalo invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Research Associate position, aligned with the academic year obligation to conduct new research as part of the Center for the Study of First-Generation College Student Experiences The purpose of the center is to conduct research on strategies, policies, and interventions designed to improve educational outcomes among students who are first in their families to attend college. The Center will make a significant contribution to the institution as we test new strategies to serve this population of students. The successful candidate will work with the Co-chairs of the Center conduct research on a range of intervention strategies on campus that are designed to improve postsecondary success among First-Gen students. The Postdoctoral Research Associate must have a research agenda clearly focused on the issues and concerns of first-generation college students, which may include issues related to the success of First-Gen students in college, issues related to postsecondary access and opportunity, or the early educational experiences of students whose parents have little or no exposure to postsecondary education.
