Employer Partner for Internships, Career Design Center

["•\tCultivate and consult with employers to generate high quality internship and project-based learning experiences and programs.\r\n•\tCreate strategic internship/project-based learning development plan for Career Services and collaborate with partners across campus to support in the execution.\r\n•\tCreate, maintain, and grow internship/project-based learning opportunities both on and off campus for UB students from all academic disciplines and levels.\r\n•\tPosition Career Services as the point of contact for the employer partners regarding internship/project-based learning information/postings.\r\n•\tCreate digital and print resources to support employers in hosting students in internship and project-based learning experiences.\r\n•\tContribute to the departmental employer cultivation plan by developing relationships with strategic employer portfolios specifically for internship and project-based learning cultivation.\r\n•\tEnhance and maintain relationships with existing employer contacts for the purposes of internship/project-based learning development and coordinate on campus recruitment activities as needed.\r\n•\tWork in online career and relationship management systems to further the strategic development plan for internship development.\r\n•\tWork with community organizations for the purposes of employer cultivation and increasing internship opportunities for students\r\n•\tContribute to raising the UB employer net promoter score including employer satisfaction. \r\n•\tFamiliarity with effective reporting strategies including, extracting data as it pertains to employer development and knowledge of how to report progress in employer cultivation. \r\n•\tOffer expertise and guidance to employer partners on the best practices in designing a high quality applied learning experience as well as understanding the academic requirements as well as DOL regulations associated with such experiences.\r\n•\tDesign a strategy for the internship scholarship fund that ensures maximum impact and equity. \r\n•\tManage the internship scholarship funds including, disbursement, record keeping and maintenance", "•\tCreate and maintain relationships with UB faculty/staff and academic units who focus on internships and project-based learning opportunities to cultivate university-wide commitment to internship development and participation.\r\n•\tConvene and facilitate the work of the SUNY Works committee bringing together constituencies from faculty, academic affairs and student life to build an integrated applied learning strategy \r\n•\tFacilitate the sub-committees of the SUNY Works committee to include: student services, employer services and faculty services and support\r\n•\tWork with campus partners to promote opportunities and create student pipelines for cultivated internship and employer learning experiences.\r\n•\tConvene UB campus partners with employers to further the strategy around internships and project-based learning experiences. \r\n•\tCollaborate with UB partners on career competency and skill building initiatives in order to best prepare students for internship and project-based learning experiences based on employer desires. \r\n•\tConsistently record notes of relationship building and engagement activities with academic units per departmental tracking guidelines to inform internship strategy outcomes.\r\n•\tContinually explore strategic development, management and assessment of existing and new campus partners to further the internship strategy.", "•\tMaintain a working knowledge of student and employer facing technology tools to effectively assist colleagues and constituents in maximizing the use of each tool while increasing the number of student users (tools include, but are not limited to, Asana, Slack, Handshake, Big Interview, Focus 2, VMock, First Hand, Ivy.ai, and Versatile PhD).", "•\tSupport the departmental effort to adopt and execute data management best practices and processes based on high-quality data sets.\r\n•\tGain an understanding of departmental analytics contributing to a data-literate culture, learning best practices and data strategies in order to make and influence data-informed decisions.\r\n•\tStay abreast of new employers and trends within recruitment and internships, specifically both locally and nationally.", "•\tEnsure ongoing learning and development of skills including career design, technology trends, data analysis, accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion.", "•\tConduct other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the Department."]
