Assistant Athletics Director, Business Operations

•Oversee day-to-day operations of business office including, but not limited to, account monitoring and maintenance, procurement, payables/receivables, revenues, team travel, recruiting travel, per diem cards, and reconciliation of accounts across all funding sources.

  • Utilize financial analysis and budget forecasting to shift resources appropriately and offer guidance to Senior Associate Athletic Director/Deputy AD.
  • Coordinate and fulfill the annual Agreed Upon Procedural review of Departmental finances
  • Coordinate departmental EADA and NCAA Financial Reporting in conjunction with Senior Associate Athletic Director/Deputy AD.
  • Provide monthly budget reports to departmental units.
  • Create various financial reports and presentations as needed to illustrate financial position of units/department.
  • Fulfill various University requested expenditure reporting requirements.

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing applicable departmental policies related to overall business operations.
  • Ensure that all IRS, State, UBF and University guidelines are followed in the handling of DOA revenue.
  • Serve as a member of the University Policy Review Group.

  • Supervise 3 full-time Business Office staff.
  • Supervise the cash handling procedures of Ticket Office.
  • Supervise select Head Coaches and serve as Sport Administrator for respective teams as assigned by Athletics Director.

  • Responsible for the creation and management of annual Departmental Internal Financial Database.
  • Assist with necessary management of University Financial System including departmental access management, entity/hierarchy structure and account associations, budget revisions, and related items.

  •  Assist with the development and monitoring of comprehensive intercollegiate athletics budget. 
  • Responsible for creating the annual departmental budget projection spreadsheet and related unit budget templates. 
  • Monitor approved budgets for variance from plan and address with unit and report to supervisor as necessary.
