Postdoctoral Associate, School of Dental Medicine

As a Postdoctoral Associate in the largest comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country, you will perform independent and directed research to achieve the objectives of the research project within your department. Your work will require the theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge.
A new postdoctoral position is available at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. The project is focused on immunological aspects of obesity-associated macrophage biology in the periodontal osteoimmunology.
Tasks you will be responsible for include:
  • Performing experiments that require cell culture, qPCR, NanoString gene expression, RNAseq, flow cytometry
  • Animal husbandry, genotyping, colony management
  • IACUC compliance, lab notebook, lab presentations, training and supervision of graduate students
