Workplace Diversity just makes Good Business Sense

Diversity in the workplace means tapping into the skills and talents of a wide range of diverse people. Corporations today realize that diversity is vital to a successful business. Diversity-friendly companies will have diverse/minority employees in ever sector of their workforce from entry-level to management levels, as well as minorities in the ranks of the highest salaried employees of the company. The company's entire workforce will reflect society as a whole at every level. A commitment to hiring minorities and women will be seen in the recruiting efforts. Another excellent sign is a company's level of involvement in diverse professional organizations.

In a recent online poll by The Career Exposure Network™, 91 percent of respondents said that having an effective Corporate Diversity Program would be a significant factor for them in choosing an employer. Workers, it seems, have figured out that a company that values diversity is also more likely to be tuned in to the needs of the people who work there -- and that's where they want to be.
